The Basics of Basketweave

Everyone loves to basketweave, but even the simplicity of basketweave benefits from proper techniques. If you are just starting out in your needlepoint journey or have been stitching for 30 years, this two hour workshop is helpful in that you learn proper basketweave technique. Hands-on practice allows stitchers to basketweave in the correct direction, learn how to start and stop the thread (to avoid the dreaded air pocket for ridges underneath the thread!), and find  the helpful hints to stitch a flawless look on the canvas. And, we will learn about effective ways to address the less talked about issues while stitching basketweave, such as the best way to stitch with overdyed thread or how to properly stitch with a different color than the canvas is painted.
