Introduction to Needlepoint



Carolyn Fuller teaches the new stitcher the basics of working a needlepoint canvas in this 1 hour class. Students will work on a blank canvas with cotton thread to learn tent, the standard stitch in needlepoint. She will also cover threading the needle and ways to start and stop a segment of stitches. 
Canvas, thread and needle will be provided. Please bring a pair of small scissors.


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: This is a very basic class for anyone who wants to give needlepoint a try. With the skill learned here, a student will be able to work a canvas in the classic tent stitch. It is the first step in building knowledge for learning basketweave and decorative stitches.
Materials Included: Canvas, needle and thread are included.
Requirements: Please bring scissors

Instructor Bio: Carolyn Full is an accomplished stitcher who learned the art of needlepoint from her grandmother. As a former shop owner, she has experience teaching many people at all levels of needlepoint expertise. She is patient and kind, providing a relaxed atmosphere conducive to learning.
