107A: Beginner's Basics



Beginner's Basics is taught by Carolyn Fuller, an accomplished stitcher and teacher. Students will learn the basic tent stitch in the continental method. There will also be a discussion on canvas types, needles, stretcher bars and the best ways to start and stop your stitching. If time permits, there will also be a lesson on the basketweave stitch. All materials will be provided.

Requirements:
Please bring scissors. If you use a cordless light or magnifier please bring them to class.

Instructor Bio:
Carolyn Fuller learned needlepoint from her grandmother at the age of 8. She has been a needlepoint addict ever since that day! Some of you may know her from her time as the owner of Simply Needlepoint in Winston-Salem where she ran a lovely shop and taught many classes. Carolyn is kind and patient and will help you feel comfortable as you begin your needlepoint journey.
Carolyn is a Winston-Salem native. She stays busy as a wife and mom of two kids and two dogs.
