Bring your canvases to life with decorative stitches in a variety of styles. Students will learn several stitches in a wide range of categories such as straight, diagonal, crossed, composite and tramme. Each month we will address a new category by making stitch samples and compiling a personal reference notebook. We will learn how different threads can change the look of a stitch, how to use these stitches for elements such as landscapes, people, animals, sky and water and many more areas.
Included in the price of the class are a copy of the indispensable guide "Stitches To Go" as well as all materials needed for the class.
Please bring scissors and a cordless light and magnifier if needed. Time To Stitch will provide System 4 table stands for 8 students.
Students who already own Stitches To Go should choose Class Only when paying online.

Skill Details: | Students should be comfortable with basic skills such as starting and stopping threads as well as continental and basketweave stitches. |

Instructor Bio: | Megan Smith has been stitching needlepoint for most of her life. She has experience teaching in needlepoint shops as well as online. She has attended classes with many national top-level teachers and looks forward to helping our students expand their needlepoint knowledge. Megan is a professor at UNC-Charlotte when she is not stitching or walking her sweet little dog. |
