Beginners Beading

Have you ever been interested in beading, but are not quite sure where to start? This three hour workshop breaks down the a, b, c's of beading and all its mysteries by providing helpful instruction to start you on your beading journey. Instruction covers all things beading, including the beads most commonly used in needlepoint, beading thread and how to use it, and the most effective ways to anchor beads on your canvas. The various techniques of beading will be taught and then practiced on a hand painted canvas. All materials, except scissors, are included in the price of the class.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Intermediate Beginner
Requirements: Please bring scissors. If you need a magnifier and cordless light please bring them to class.
Instructor: Megan Smith
Instructor Bio: Megan Smith is an avid needlepointer and has been stitching for 30 years. She regularly attends classes with national teachers. When not enjoying her favorite hobby, Megan is a professor at UNC-Charlotte. We are excited to have her teaching at Time To Stitch!
Includes all supplies including Blue Ridge Stitchery Snowflake canvas, stretcher bars, tacks, needles, a selection of beads and beading pad.
